SECO amends Grace Mugabe’s Zimbabwe sanctions listing

Earlier today, Swiss authorities amended the following individual Zimbabwe sanctions listing:

DOB: 23 Jul 1965 Identification document: a) Passport No. AD001159, Zimbabwe b) ID card No. 63-646650Q70, Zimbabwe

Justification: Associated withFormer Secretary of the ZANU-PF faction of(Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front) Women’s league, involved in activities that seriously undermine democracy, respect for human rights and the Governmentrule of law. Took over the Iron Mask Estate in 2002; alleged to illicitly derive large profits from diamond mining. Modifications: Amended on 7 Mar 2019
